Summary

  • The top of the mentions is still dominated by the EU. The United Kingdom has a consistent growth (given the epidemiological developments and the UEFA European Championship). With the exception of the United Kingdom and the United States, there is a decrease in the number of mentions for all actors included in the analysis compared to June.
  • There are no differences between the hierarchy of mentions and the hierarchy of views. Compared to June, the United Kingdom, the USA and Israel have an increase in terms of views, France remains relatively constant, and for the EU, Germany, Russia, China and NATO there is a decrease in the number of mentions.
  • The vast majority of actors taken into account by the analysis (EU, UK, Germany, France, Russia, China, Israel, NATO) have the most mentions on social networks (Facebook), but the impact of the mentions is greater in the online press. The only exception is the USA, which has many mentions in the online press, this being the source with the greatest impact. Basically, in the case of the number of mentions, the social networks are the ones that dominate, but in terms of impact, the online press matters first of all, for all the monitored actors.
  • The coronavirus pandemic and vaccination continue to be the main themes of association for most of the actors considered. The UEFA European Championship (the final of the competition), but also the Olympic Games in Tokyo are other important themes of association.
