About the event

The National University of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA) organizes on 4-5 October 2019 the fourth edition of the Bucharest Security Conference (BSC).

BSC is the academic event of the Bucharest 9 Format of Cooperation and it addresses current topics in the field of Euro-Atlantic security and defense.

This year, BSC will encourage discussions on NATO’s adaptability to the realities of its 7th decade, Romania-Poland strategic partnership and its role in the region, the role of think-tanks and universities in the region, approaching new threats to liberal democracies (fake news, the impact of the 4th industrial revolution and AI), the projection of stability in the Eastern neighborhood and the Western Balkans, the status of the international efforts to regulate the cyberspace and outer space, and issues of regional development in Eastern and Central Europe.

CPD will be there, looking forward to sharing its experience and expertise with other BSC participants.
