Summary

  • Both the mentions and the impact of the mentions for the United States of America increased a lot in August, compared to July, as a result mainly of two themes: the revelations about the past of Prime Minister Cîțu in the USA and the situation in Afghanistan. Both in the top of the mentions and in the top of the views for mentions, the USA occupies the 1st place.
  • The European Union is in second place, followed by Germany and France.
  • In the top of the mentions, they are followed by the Russian Federation, while in the top of the views for mentions, they are followed by Great Britain, which is ahead of Russia.
  • In both hierarchies, there is a significant fall for the United Kingdom as compared to July.
  • It is worth mentioning that all these international actors no longer generate mentions only through special events. In general, there are mentions about epidemiological developments or the situation in Afghanistan for all of them.
  • At the end of the top are China, NATO, and Israel, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization being now in the penultimate place. The situation in Afghanistan has generated more mentions for NATO, compared to those for Israel.
